Some non-firearm items -- accessories, ammunition, antiques built before 1899 -- don't require FFL transfer, though age verification may still apply. A bid placed in the final three minutes triggers bonus time, extending the auction by three minutes. This can repeat as long as bids keep coming in near the new end time, so a hotly-contested auction can run well past its original close.
