This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, experimental serial numbered version Colt M16 LMG 5.56mm fully transferable light machine gun. It features the highly deseriable Colt "X" marking in its extremely low serial number (#X101), designating it as a Colt factory experimental gun. This squad automatic weapon design of the M16 features full-automatic only fire from an open bolt design, a 20" barrel, along with the LMG designed handguard, forward carry handle, forward vertical grip, and bipod. This machine gun is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, and appears to have been unfired outside of factory testing. We received this item direct from former Colt executive John Keosayian. This Colt M16 LMG is a fully transferable factory machine gun currently on a Form 3.
