Rare Colt M16A1 5.56mm Experimental A2 Prototype Transferable Machine Gun

This Chester County Armory listing is for a very rare, Colt M16A1 prototype transferable machine gun. This experimental version from Colt features a burst marked fire-control group and an early example brass deflector on an M16A1 marked receiver. This model was an intermediary between the A1 and A2 configurations, and created by Colt as a functioning prototype of what would eventually become the standard M16A2. This firearm came directly out of the Colt Archives from the John Keosayian collection. This extremely rare and collectible piece of M16 evolutionary history is extremely rare in this configuration due to the small numbers created. This M16A1 is fully transferable and is in excellent condition.
