Maremont Corp M60E6 7.62x51mm NATO Transferable Belt Fed General Purpose Machine Gun

This Chester County Armory listing is for a transferable US defense contractor produced New England Group of Maremont Corporation M60E6 7.62x51mm NATO belt-fed general purpose machine gun.

Machine Gun, 7.62mm M60, as it was first formally known upon its initial adoption to by US forces in the 1960’s, has been the quintessential American general purpose machine gun going on almost seven decades now. It has been used by every branch of the US Military in multiple generations and configurations. This particular model was initially made by US defense contractor Maremont Corporation through their defense division, the New England Group. It is observed to have been originally intended for the US military as it’s NFA paperwork denotes “US” as the manufacturer. This beautiful weapon was originally created as standard configuration M60, but has been fully professionally updated to an E6 configuration by US defense contractor U.S. Ordnance. The E6 version is the most recent and most updated design in the M60 family, intended to make the platform more advanced, lightweight, and more reliable than its predecessors, to better fit modern infantry combat uses. This model also came out of the personal collection of former Colt executive John Keosayian.

Purchase of this transferable general purpose machine gun will include the US Military correct Elcan Model 145 machine gun optic, along with two barrels (one fluted, one standard), the installed ammunition belt holder, and a laser cut Pelican-style hard case (not pictured).

This transferable belt-fed machine gun is in excellent overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. Mechanically, very little wear is noted on the internal components. The bore of both barrels are in in like new condition, with crisp rifling. The bolt and piston system is solid, with little wear observed. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, malformations, cracks, etc. Cosmetically, this model is also in excellent condition. The metalwork finish is outstanding, with hardly any handling marks observed. The flat dark earth polymer furniture notes only minor handling marks.

This highly prized and collectible belt-fed general purpose machine gun is fully transferable and is currently on a Form 3 for quick and easy purchase. The current NFA paperwork notes the manufacturer as “US” and the model as “M60.”
