This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, original factory setup from Colt of an M16A1 5.56mm auto marked transferable machine gun with a factory attached Colt M203 40mm grenade launcher. Originally made by Colt for US Special Forces, this configuration utilized a seldom seen Colt 12" barrel to accommodate the launcher attachment. This M203 also uses the more rare, shorter, 10" barrel to allow for a more compact overall package. Extremely rare as a from-the-factory package, this M16A1 also features the desirable SAFE, SEMI, AUTO markings . The gray exterior finishes on the machine gun and the launcher are identical. It is in excellent mechanical condition, with little wear, and only minor handling marks on the exterior. This item will require two NFA transfers, one for the fully transferable M16A1 machine gun and one for the M203 destructive device.
