This is a rare, experimental serial numbered version of a Colt M16 LMG 5.56mm fully transferable light machine gun. It features the highly desirable Colt "X" marking in its extremely low serial number (#X100), designating it as a Colt factory experimental gun. This squad automatic weapon design of the M16 features full-automatic only fire from an open bolt design, a 20" barrel, along with the LMG designed hand guard, forward carry handle, forward vertical grip, and bipod.
