This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare Colt M4LE IAR 5.56mm semi-automatic rifle. This rifle utilizes Colt's IAR upper, which was originally built for the Mexican Army as a lighter, faster LMG. The upper features a standard M16 full-auto bolt carrier group. The upper is fitted to a factory Colt M4 LE marked semi-automatic lower, which was originally intended for export to the Mexican Army. . The right side of the lower receiver is stamped "SDN Mexico D.F." for Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional Mexico, a requirement of the Mexican Government. This rare setup features all of the original Colt design components of the IAR, including the Vltor SOPMOD stock and the forward grip/bipod. This rifle is a Title One/semi-automatic firearm.
