This is an original, non-reweld C&R eligible German MP43 8mm Kurz transferable machine gun. The predecessor to the Sturmgewehr 44, the MP43 was the world's first known version of the modern day assault rifle. This firearm is in its original, factory configuration, and is in very good condition, with only finish wear to the metal (no rust or pitting). Markings are all clear, and all serialized numbers are matching. The machine gun is fully functional and the mechanical condition is also solidly constructed. This MP43 machine gun is a true German example, and not a bastardized re-weld of a cut receiver. NFA paperwork lists the manufacturer as Germany. This machine gun is fully transferable on a Form 3.
