This Chester County Armory listing is for an immaculate. factory original, all-German construction, Heckler & Koch HK MP5A3 9x19mm NATO Pre May Dealer Sample Only machine gun.
Setup as an MP5A3 with a retractable A3 stock, tri-lug barrel, and a Navy three-position ambidextrous trigger group, this double-push pin Pre May sub machine gun is a complete German-produced model, imported after the 1968 GCA, but arriving in the US prior to the 1986 cutoff. The receiver features a “C” serial number prefix and is IE date coded, noting a 1984 production.
Overall, this weapon is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, with only minor wear on the internals noted. The exterior metalwork is solidly intact, with no dents, dings, cracks, etc. of any functional or structural concerns. This weapon has been recently gone over by famed HK gunsmith Ralph Smith of RDTS for functionality, and completely refurbished to the original specs. Cosmetically, the matte “Exact HK Black” finish is exceptional, with no marks in the metalwork. The polymer furniture notes only minor handling marks. The left side of the trigger housing pictograms notes a small fading of the single bullet pictogram, but all other pictogram markings are factory production intact.
This Pre-May 1986 Dealer Sample Only machine gun is available for purchase by Class 3 FFL/SOT holders, only. It will come with one 30 round original factory H&K magazine. It is currently on a Form 3.
