Federal lets you have a low recoil shell that will increase the capacity of your pump shotgun as they are only 1-3/4" long, however they may not cycle reliably. Perfect for use as low-recoil ammunition for single-shot, double guns and the triple barrel guns as well. Ideal for recoil-sensitive shooters. Loaded to specs, this Minishell load is recommended for target shooting and small game. Designed specifically for smooth bore barrels but can also be used in rifled choke tube barrels or fully rifled barrels.

First of all, any SAAMI/CIP approved 12ga shotgun may fire minishells, be it side-by-side, over-and-under or pump action; however, the latter type will not cycle them flawlessly.
