I was able to purchase this very rare C&R, transferable, Sterling L2A2 several years ago when a handful of these became available. Built at the Dagenham, England factory in 1955, imported by Colt in 1956, they were sold by Colt to a collector in 1965 and eventually were acquired by a major dealer and put on the market in 2012. This original MKIII Sterling has remained in its original box, completely wrapped in original wax paper / cosmoline and in my safe for the past eight years. One of the pictures in this ad shows an identical L2A2 that was unwrapped and pics posted by its owner. It is shown here only as an example of what this unit will look like when unwrapped should you desire to do so. The factory box and kit includes: a sealed new Sterling L2A2, MKIII, 9mm, C&R Sub-machine gun in new/original condition as it left the factory in Dagenham, England; rare new bayonet equally wrapped; 5 new and individually sealed original magazines packaged together within a stapled box; original factory manual; original sling in wax paper; and original box with serial number written on each end. This unit is registered on a Form 4 in Arizona. Please contact me at [email protected] to purchase this fine collector's piece or to ask any questions about it.
