The PAWS M16 converted machine gun, built on an Olympic Arms receiver, represents a unique and great chapter in firearms history. This conversion typically involves modifying a semi-automatic AR-15, based on the Olympic Arms receiver, into a fully automatic M16-style firearm.

The modification includes altering the firearm's internals to enable automatic fire, replicating the function of the military M16. The result is a rapid-firing rifle with a cyclic rate similar to that of its military counterpart.
