Port Said Swedish K Carl Gustaf m/45 SMG 9x19mm NATO Transferable Sub Machine Gun by Wilson Arms

This Chester County Armory listing is for a Swedish K SMG 9x19mm NATO transferable sub machine gun made by Wilson Arms.

Also known as the Kulsprutepistol m/45 (in Swedish) or the Carl Gustaf m/45, the colloquially titled Swedish K is known as one of the finest sub machine guns to have ever been designed. With production first started in Sweden in 1945 (hence the m/45 designation), versions of the Swedish K SMG have been used by countless countries in countless conflicts. Known the world over as one of the smoothest, most easily controlled sub machine gun designs, its own production led directly to the creation of the Smith & Wesson 76 here in the United States, as well as other designs and copies worldwide.

This particular model was created in the United States by Wilson Arms of Brunswick, GA using their own registered receiver tube and an Egyptian Port Said original parts kit. The Port Said was an officially licensed model of the Swedish K, built in Egypt on tooling set up by Swedish engineers to replicate the original production at the Carl Gustaf plant in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The Port Said parts kits replicated the1st generation versions of the m/45, which allows for the standard m/45 mag well to be easily removed and the use of Suomi M31 100rd drums and 50 round coffin magazines. This is in addition to the standard 36rd trapezoidal box magazine intended for the weapon.  This Wilson Arms tube receiver also has had a single Picatinny style scope mount installed rearward of the rear sight, which allows for the clear installation of an RMR or single contact red-dot style optic to be installed easily on this weapon, if desired.

Overall, the condition on this weapon is excellent. Mechanically, it notes no functionality concerns, whatsoever. The bolt and internals note only limited-use wear of the bolt finish. The bore on this transferable sub machine gun remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling.  The metalwork notes no dings, dents, cracks, gouges, malformations, etc. Cosmetically, the exterior finish notes only minor surface handling marks in the finish, but nothing more than cosmetic in nature.

This fantastic Swedish K transferable sub machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy eForm transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Wilson Arms” as the manufacturer of this weapon and “Swedish K” as the model.
