This M1 Carbine is in great condition, According to the SN this receiver was manufactured in 1944. The bore is in excellent condition with no rust or pitting and plenty of rifling remaining. The top channel of the handgaurd was painted white to help pick up the front iron sight, and some numbers have been written on the underside of the stock.
This Military Surplus Winchester M1 Carbine was one of approximately 809,451 guns manufactured by this company and shipped between September 1942 and August 1945 to our Armed Forces. The Winchester Repeating Arms Company was one of ten major contractors building the M1 during this time, and the only dedicated firearms manufacturer in the group.
