Flussstahl Krupp Essen 16 Gauge & 9,3x72R dual over/under barrel drilling

This German drilling over/under gun is in amazing shape for being over 100 years old. The combination gun was manufactured in the period circa 1911/12 and September 1923. Incredibly beautiful engraving on the entire gun - from the receiver to the safety to the trigger guard to the forend, you can really appreciate the time and skill that went into creating this beauty!  I have done extensive research into this firearm, and have yet to find one that is identical to it.  The forend has a specific contour and the the cheek pad has unique, sharper lines - it is not rounded as on all other drillings that are similar to this one.  If anyone has additional information, I would love to hear it.  It is truly a unique firearm and piece of firearms manufacturing history that is an exquisite example of what was possible when talent and care were taken to create something that is much more than a gun.  Good luck bidding…I'm sure this won't last long!

As mentioned above, I've found some others similar to it online, but nothing that is exactly like it. One area that seems to be unique is the trigger guard/assembly. The safety is also different - a small "button" that slides back and forth. Here is a list of the proof markings and other markings on the firearm. The gun is in amazing condition.

Some things of note and Specifications:

• pistol grip has a plate that flips up/down that enables you to store an additional shotgun shell and 3 rifle rounds
• markings include "MUNCHEN", round stamped "KRUSS ESSEN FLUSSSTAHL" - fluid steel from Krupp in Essen
• stamped "Nitro" on top of barrel(s) (crown N – Nitro proof)
• has ejectors for both barrels
• right side of barrel stamped "ADAM SCHURK" (upside down)
  • Adam Schurk: I cannot say I know much about him. In researching him, he is first listed as gunsmith in 1903 at a shop at Morassiststraße 2a in Munich. There was still an Adam Schurk at that address in the early 1930’s. He may have performed some minor work on it but he may have just peddled it, since it was manufactured by some business in Suhl.

• various scrollwork all over the receiver, barrel and even "SAFE" switch
• Safety is a small round switch that slides back and forth, showing the "S" when safe - S = Sicher (safe)
• trigger guard has lever at bottom to release the break barrel for loading and also features the same scrollwork
• two brass nubs pop up showing status of barrels
• lever release for forearm also features scrollwork
• bottom of barrel marked "K.m.G." next to an "N" with a crown on top (smokeless powder proof) and "13CR" and "72" and "8.8 mm"
  • 8,8 (millimeter) – bore diameter at proof / 72 – brass length / 13 gr. – 13 gram
• K.m.G. – Kupfermantel-Geschoß
• bottom of barrel marked with a "U" with a crown on top (2nd Proof and Examination mark)
• top of barrel marked with an "S" with a crown on top (Proof for shotguns)
• Under the above marking with "S" with crown is a capital letter "K"
• Over and under combination gun – Bockbüchsflinte
• There does not appear to be a serial number
