This very unusual 9mm (9X19 Parabellum) submachine gun was manufactured by Dansk Industri Syndikat in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a very unusual weapon that is characterized by an innovative clam shell design. The receiver consists of right and left sides that are hinged at the back. The receiver halves are held in place and secured at the forward end by a large barrel nut. With the barrel nut removed the receiver can be opened and the barrel and bolt taken out for service and cleaning. The folding stock is tubular and locks in place when folded or extended. A safety is located on the left side of the receiver above the trigger and a grip safety lever is located at the back side of the magazine well. When the grip safety is pressed forward the weapon fires full auto from an open bolt.
