The fit and finish on this machine gun is truly outstanding. This machine gun runs and functions flawlessly. Colt 20-inch C MP CHROME BORE 1 12 twist chrome-lined barrel with front sight base and bayonet lug. Barrel is chambered in 5.56x45mm even though magazine well is stamped for .223 caliber. Internal components are all manufactured by Colt. The period-correct A1-style furniture is in near perfect condition. This is an excellent investment firearm. The demand for machine guns has more than surpassed the supply for more than 30 years. Machine guns will soon be unobtainable as the supply diminishes. Shooting at a 100-yard target I was able to put all 20 rounds into a 1 4-inch grouping, using only the iron sights, at dusk, during a steady downpour, with a fluctuating 15 - 20MPH cross wind, shooting unsupported, behind my back using a mirror, firing at 1-second intervals and while being ferociously attacked by mosquitoes the entire time. Unfortunately, in the full-auto mode I swatted a mosquito with the mirror which resulted in only a 1 2-inch grouping. However, your results may vary.
