Transferable on a Form 3
This is a rare, experimental serial numbered, U.S. Government Property manufactured and marked, T161 7.62mm belt fed machine gun. This fully transferable machine gun is a rare, early prototype of the M60 general-purpose machine gun. It was manufactured and NFA papered by the U.S. Government, and is the earliest and lowest known transferable M60 serial numbered example in the NFA registry, at #EXP21. This machine gun is in excellent condition. This rare example of the evolution of the M60 was derived by the US Government, after partially reverse engineering the weapon from the German FG 42 and MG 42 machine guns, after WW2. With a few added American innovations, this T161 was eventually born. This highly collectible belt-fed general purpose machine gun is fully transferable and also C&R eligible.
