Item Description

50mm 1902 Krupp Siamese Mountain Howitzer as made for Siam. Marked on the breech with Siamese Government proofs and "FRIED. KRUPP. A.G./ESSEN", then more Siamese markings and Krupp symbols. Elevation gear also marked in Siamese. There are less then twenty of these that occasionally change hands! Firm fixed price, NOT an auction. Reserving right to end listing at any time as the Krupp is also available locally. First series, one of 38 imported by "Dangerous Dave" Cumberland. Single digit serial number. REMOVED from the NFA registry, C&R, transfers on a simple 4473. No NFA transfer hassle or tax. Located in No. Nevada. Nevada buyer to do a 4473 at the local gun shop per recent Nevada law. Out of state must go through an FFL. This weapon is fully functional, breech block opens and shuts freely, bore is extremely fine and clean. Complete in excellent condition, always stored inside. Included is the original functional rear sight with balance bubble intact, prolong handle, 5 reloadable brass shell cases and 7 projectiles. 6 cast lead and 1 turned aluminum. Cases are loaded at the time of firing to avoid DD issues. These are very desirable as they are title one-C&R and small enough to easily fit in the Den or Gun Room. Tube is only 135 Lb. Gun is made to break-down for easy transport. Designed to be carried by Elephants, Mules, Donkeys, or a crew of porters. Being a mountain gun it features extreme muzzle depression for firing down hills. This link is the best I have seen for explanation and demo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0etdjCxR9PE This one is fairly good too, once you get past the ads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXPYCcCkKj8&app=desktop Here is the big buck auction, mostly useful for the excellent pics. https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/1906-krupp-mountain-howitzer-2137-c-f194f36b5c I've shot these, they are fun to shoot, and very accurate even with the BP rounds. At least one expert owner is shooting them with smokeless powder but BP is easier on the gun. I believe original rounds were cordite. Some pictures are segmented as space was tight and I wanted to show the entire gun. Additional pics or viewing for a qualified buyer are available on weekends.
