High Standard HDMS OSS Pistol

This is an accurate replica of the High Standard HDM or HDMS pistol issued to the OSS during WWII and remained in use with CIA and Special Forces until at least the 90's. Only 2500 of the originals were ever produced. The host gun for this build is a correct and original High Standard USA Model HD government issue pistol. It retains it's original parkerized finish in near-mint condition, and has very nice green patina of age that WWII collectors love. Original US Property and Ordnance marks. This is the same host pistol that the original OSS guns were built on. Original host guns in this condition are very rare and hard to find, this is one of the 3 nicest ones I have built. The gun has the correct external appearance and dimensions as the originals, exact in almost every detail, particularly the front sight and knurled front cap. These replicas are built based upon measurements and photos taken of an original amnesty registered OSS Pistol. The suppressor can be completely disassembled for cleaning, and uses K baffles. The sound is on par with the best modern 22 suppressors. Also included are exact replicas of original box and all original papers, instructions, test target, etc., and a new in wrapper copy of Dr Brunner's book "OSS Weapons II". This book it the best reference on these pistols that I have found, and is now out of print. Has a complete history of the guns and many photos of original guns and papers.
